For an international student far from home, food became a soft landing point. Asian supermarkets offered more than ingredients, they held memories, comfort, and familiarity. This risograph poster series explores the emotional power of East Asian comfort food. Bold colours, layered typography, and multilingual text reflect shared cultural memories across Taiwan, Japan, and Korea. Tamagoyaki, tteokbokki, and bubble milk tea are printed in grainy, slightly misaligned layers, just like memory, just like migration.
Through textures, misregistrations, and warmth, this project speaks of belonging, through taste, typography, and tenderness.
