Practical Feedbacks on my visual research

Reference: Chris Ashworth who I mentioned is a strong and relevant example for my topic.

Perfectionism: My “neat” and well-organised visual style can still be considered perfect to some people, imperfection could be interpreted in a bolder and more experimental way.

Typography: Try incorporating quotes or statements as visual material (for example, “The medium is the message”).

Technique: Experiment with combining different techniques and materials; consider collecting leftover materials from the printing process as part of the design, or research archive.

Decision-making: Reflect on what happens to test prints, are they kept, reused, or discarded? Why are some results rejected/accepted?

Reference: Wreck This Journal by Keri Smith was suggested as a creative reference for exploring destruction and imperfection.

Distortion: Try creating distortion manually, such as moving the scanner during the scan or physically altering printed materials (tear apart or pour some ink... etc.)

Post-finish intervention: Consider adding new elements to already finished prints — questioning when a work truly ends.
